About

Tai Chi

People often experience the benefits of Tai Chi during their very first class.  Tai Chi is the ancient practice of a series of movements accompanied by the breath.  This slow, low impact exercise flows through postures without pause to create a meditative dance-like practice.

Adding this harmonious practice to your wellness journey can bring such benefits as:

  • stress reduction
  • reduced anxiety and depression
  • slow the aging process
  • improve cardiovascular health and blood pressure
  • boost your immune system
  • increase flexibility and stamina
  • aid with balance and posture

Evie has been practicing Yang style Tai Chi since 2007.  She received certification to teach Tai Chi in 2013.  She is also certified to teach Chair Tai Chi. Evie's instructor is Allison Deputy of Moon Willow.

Evie credits Tai Chi practice with improving strength and balance in her own life.  She appreciates the inner peace and sense of calm that occurs while focusing on the breath and the movement.
